Showing assets out of their original game is the first challenge Apartment Builder is addressing. It is simple enough so that any game can easily provide an access to their assets. The simplest integration consists in leaving a 2D tile at the right place. The renderer enhance the display provide an immersive experience.

It does not stop here… Apartment Builder both allow to position 3D assets and animated assets so that you can benefit from the best art-design and benefit from the changes within games.

Sharing your assets!

Sharing assets with and between games is the other challenge Apartment Builder is addressing… While most games allow playing with your wallet/account, this approach has many concerns:

• Involving assets from several accounts can not be done
• You cannot easily rent or borrow assets
• You cannot stake your assets, i.e. games/players cannot get access to your account without an explicit grant

To address that issue, Appartments are special contracts that could be used by dapps to play. The contract can be granted assets and provide some special abilities. For now, Apartments guarranty:

• A NFT can be added to an apartement and only one apartement
• There are a set of commitments between the asset and the apartment. For now, the commitment is that an asset cannot be removed from an appartement by its owner before a certain time
• Any account can lend an NFT to an appartment for a period of time because, after the period of time, only the providing account will be able to retrieve the NFT.

Those properties will allow users to better share assets, yet make sure they can get them back after a specific period of time.
